A Letter from the President

Welcome to Aims Community College!

As Northern Colorado’s comprehensive higher education provider, Aims Community College is pleased to welcome 8,000 students to one of our four campuses annually. We take great pride in providing a quality education for every single student we serve. Over the course of the 2019-20 academic year, the spirit of our mission-providing knowledge and skills to advance quality of life, economic vitality, and overall success of the diverse communities we serve - will be more evident than ever. This is the ninth consecutive year the Aims Board of Trustees has frozen tuition for students, demonstrating our commitment to focusing on the student and empowering you to succeed while you obtain a valuable and affordable education at an accredited college.

Aims employees are dedicated to do everything within our ability to help you achieve your educational goals. For this reason, our faculty and student services professionals have collaborated, using research and best practices, to enhance your experience in and out of the classroom. Opportunities for our students are everywhere, and I’m confident you will have the guidance and resources to make the most of them. Please explore the many student services and leadership opportunities available to you. Devoted professionals are here, eager to answer any questions you might have and to ensure you have a positive and productive experience at Aims.

Through a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to explore and grow, you will reach goals you might not otherwise thought possible. The College’s commitment to state-of-the-art learning environments, innovation, and technology enables us to bring enriched learning experiences to you in the time and manner most convenient to your needs.

Aims offers the Associate of Arts Degree and the Associate of Science Degree to prepare students for university transfer and the Associate of Applied Science Degree and certificate programs for careers in the region’s fastest growing industries. Students also get started by working toward their GED or by attending the Weld County High School located on the Greeley Campus. We are equally proud to welcome our concurrently enrolled high school students who are beginning to explore their college options. Whichever program you choose, our faculty and staff are prepared to assist you as you make your educational dreams a reality.

The programs and policies described in this catalog have been carefully developed with one purpose in mind - to provide a safe and supportive environment so you are empowered to achieve academic success and complete your goals.  We encourage you to visit with us in person if you have any questions related to the information contained within the catalog.

Sincerely,
