Focuses on the history of astronomy, the tools of the astronomer and the contents of the solar system including the planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and meteoroids. Incorporates laboratory experience. This course is a state guaranteed transfer course GT-SC1. Prerequisite(s): CCR 092 or higher and MAT 055 or higher (except MAT 107, 108, 109, 112, 175).
