SOC 216 - Sociology of Gender [SS3]Credits: 3 Gives students the theoretical and factual background necessary to understand the phenomenon of gender stratification in American and other cultures. Students will be exposed to a history of gender stratification in human societies, theoretical explanations for this and insights into the consequences of gender differentiation in our world today. This course is a statewide guaranteed transfer course GT-SS3. Three credits.
