BIO 105 - Science of Biology w/Lab [SC1]

Examines the basis of biology in the modern world and surveys the current knowledge and conceptual framework of the discipline. Explores biology as a science, a process of gaining new knowledge, and the impact of biological science on society. This course includes a laboratory experience. Designed for non-science majors. This is a statewide Guaranteed Transfer course in the GT-SC1 category. BIO 105 cannot be applied towards the A.S. degree. Prerequisite(s): CCR 092 or higher and MAT 050 or MAT 107 or higher, or a score of 60 or higher on the EA portion of Accuplacer. May take MAT 050 or MAT 107 concurrently with BIO 105. Four credits.
