NUR 109 - Fundamentals of Nursing

Credits: 8
Introduces theories and skills basic to the role of the nurse as provider of care, manager of care and member of the nursing profession. Emphasis is placed on introduction to critical thinking and the nursing process. Students will demonstrate a beginning level of competence in providing therapeutic nursing care for clients with common health alterations across the health continuum. T: 2 cr./30 contact hrs, L: 3 cr./90 contact hrs; C: 3 cr./90 contact hours. All NUR classes require acceptance into the program prior to registration. Differential tuition rates apply.
