MOT 1040 - Insurance Billing and Coding

Introduces outpatient coding services performed (CPT codes) Current Procedural Terminology correlating the diagnosis or signs & symptoms (ICD codes) International Classification of Diseases, establishing medical necessity required for third-party reimbursement.  Department approval is required. Course is not repeatable for credit.
Prerequisite(s): MOT 1050 and MOT 1060 with grades of “C” or better.
