Program Length: 6 months
Program Description: Professionals will work with the staff of a medical practice to maximize the meaningful use of Electronic Health Records. This professional will document the processes in use at the medical practice and design a process to implement Electronic Records to replace the manual processes currently in place. These professionals will help medical practices meet the Meaningful Use Stages that are required to be implemented.
Registration Requirements: All students interested in taking this program will have a background in healthcare in positions such as medical billing & coding, medical receptionist, medical assistant, nurse aide or medical records specialist; or will have a background in information technology. All students must meet with an Allied Health advisor prior to program registration.
