ASCENT
ASCENT (Accelerating Students through Concurrent Enrollment) is a branch of the Concurrent Enrollment program allowing high school students the opportunity to extend their high school education for one additional year. Students will attend college exclusively and earn credit toward a post-secondary diploma, certificate, or degree. Approval must be received by the student’s high school and/or school district prior to enrolling in the program. Eligibility requirements include: students must meet all high school graduation requirements; have completed, or is on schedule to complete, 9 or more college credits at 100 level or above; have met all remedial needs; and meet any additional guidelines as set by the student’s high school and/or school district. A comprehensive list of eligibility requirements is available through the Colorado Department of Education. Students must meet all course requirements and prerequisites prior to registration into classes. Classes are part of the student’s permanent college transcript. Career Academy
Career Academy is an immersive on campus experience for students designed to promote career training in a variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Participation in the Career Academy program is available to certain schools in the Aims service area. Career Academy programs include Audio & Radio Production, Automotive Collision Repair, Automotive Service Technology, Aviation, Emergency Medical Technician, Health & Exercise, Med Prep and Welding. Space is limited to a specific number of “slots” (or seats) each year for participating programs. Eligible students meet all program/course requirements and prerequisites for program participation and are selected based on the recommendations of high school administrators and/or counselors. Courses are held at an Aims campus, with some courses also having an online component. Students are responsible for their own reliable transportation to and from classes. Earned grades are part of the student’s permanent college transcript, and courses are applied to a CTE academic certificate and/or an industry certification. All associated cost with the Career Academy program is covered by the school district and Aims Community College, this includes tuition, books, fees, and supply cost. For most programs there is no cost to the student to participate. Students who are interested in participating should check with their home high school for any additional eligibility requirements. Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent Enrollment is a program allowing high school students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to earn college credit and high school credit simultaneously. Students may earn credit toward a post-secondary diploma, certificate, or degree while enrolled in high school with tuition paid by the school district or charter school. College credit may be applied to high school graduation requirements, where applicable. Approval must be received by the student’s high school, counselor/administrator, and/or school district prior to enrolling in the program. Eligible students must meet all course/program requirements and prerequisites prior to registration into classes. Classes are part of the student’s permanent college transcript. Early College Academy

The Early College Academy (ECA) is a free public high school in partnership with School District 6 and Aims Community College. ECA is designed for high school students in the 9th through 12th grades who want to challenge themselves academically and earn their high school diploma at the same time they earn an A.A. degree from Aims. Students can enroll at the Early College Academy through the District 6 open enrollment process. If accepted into Early College Academy, all college tuition, fees, books, and supplies are covered by District 6 and Aims Community College Aims classes taken at Early College Academy are part of the student’s permanent college transcript. Participation at Early College Academy is free to families. Beyond the academic program, Early College Academy provides students with a variety of extracurricular activities and opportunities to engage with the school community. TREP
TREP (Teacher Recruitment Education and Preparation Program) is program that allows students interested in an education career pathway to extend their high school education for up to two additional years. Students will attend the college exclusively while concurrently enrolled in post-secondary courses geared toward an education-based degree or certificate and earn college credit at no tuition cost. Approval must be received by the student’s high school, and/or school district prior to enrolling in the program. Eligibility requirements include: following a teaching career pathway; on schedule to complete courses and/or experiences specified in the teaching career pathway by the end of the twelfth-grade year; has met all remedial needs; and meet any additional guidelines as set by the student’s high school and/or school district. Students must meet all course requirements and prerequisites prior to registration into classes. Classes are part of the student’s permanent college transcript.
