The Aims Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Public Safety is intended for established public safety professionals who are seeking to advance their careers. It provides education in the management, leadership, and administration of public safety agencies including the fire service, law enforcement, emergency medical services, emergency management, and criminal justice. The total credits required for the degree is a minimum of 120.
All Emergency Service Administration (ESA) major courses and electives are eight weeks in length and completely on-line. While it is possible to complete this program in two years, most students are working professionals who attend part-time with degree completion in two to four years.

Admission Requirements
Students must have completed a relevant associate degree of a minimum 60 credits from a regionally accredited institution. Relevant degrees would include, but not limited to: Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Science Technology, Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Paramedicine, Public Safety, and/or Wildland Fire. Students with an associate degree in a non-public safety field may be admitted if they have four or more years of experience in public safety.
Major Requirements
The major requirements are a minimum of 70 credits including 45 credits from an associate degree and the required major courses below.
General Education Requirements
The general education requirements are a minimum of 31 credits including applicable general education credits from an associate degree.

Two GT Pathways Arts & Humanities courses (GT-AH1, GT-AH2, GT-AH3, GT-AH4).

Natural & Physical Sciences
Two GT Pathways Natural & Physical Sciences courses (GT-SC1, GT-SC2); one of these courses must have the required laboratory (GT-SC1).
