General Education Diploma (GED) Preparation
Interested in getting your GED? Have you tried before and found it difficult to fit it into your schedule? We can help! We offer flexible, personalized learning plans with effective instructional and personal support.
What is a GED?
The GED is a high school equivalency test that can open up career and educational opportunities for you if you did not, or chose not to finish high school. The GED test is comprised of four separate tested subjects, including: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science.

College Boost
New to college? Returning after a long break from the classroom? College Boost is a program to help those who feel that they may need extended academic support to succeed in college-level classes.
Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year. You can start anytime! Once enrolled, you will receive:
- The opportunity to have your college-level math, elementary algebra, reading comprehension, sentence and writing skills evaluated in order to create an individualized learning plan.
- 12 months of personalized instruction and support

There is no set schedule for the program. Once enrolled, you will have access to the Adult Learning Lab for 12 months. Come as often as you like - we will be here to give you the individual support that you need.
The Adult Learning Lab is open mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Math Brush-Up
Are you worried about your upcoming college math class? We are here to help. Math Brush-Up provides support to any student who would like a little help with their math skills before diving into a college-level math course - all for FREE!
Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year. You can start anytime! Once enrolled, you will receive:
- individualized learning plans that can be completed at your own pace
- one-on-one help and support from our instructors
- access to the Adult Learning Lab
- skills and confidence to take on any entry-level, college math course
- instrucción en español
There is no set schedule for the program. Once enrolled, you can follow the online course at your own pace at home or on campus with our instructor’s help.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
We offer five levels of ESL classes, for beginners to more advanced user of English. We offer classes in the mornings and evenings to help fit English learning into your schedule!
Each student starts by taking a placement exam on campus to fit you into the correct class level.
At Aims, you have the opportunity to learn English with:
- personalized support
- friendly, qualified instructors
- morning or evening classes
- additional opportunities to advance into a GED or college program
