Program Description: Welding is a skill that impacts almost every industry in the world and provides a challenging, dynamic, and rewarding career. The Aims Welding Technology Program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to successfully enter the welding field.  The most common cutting, welding, and metal fabrication processes are covered in great detail as well as printreading, layout, metallurgy, and weld inspection. Attention to detail and the desire to work steadily and patiently to achieve a high level of skill in the art of welding and metal fabrication are prerequisites for this program.

The Welding Department requires students to complete all welding courses with a minimum grade of “C” (70% or higher). Final scores below 70% receive a failing grade or “F”.
