New to college or returning after a significant time away from the classroom? The College Boost program is designed to support individuals who may benefit from extended academic assistance to succeed in college-level coursework.

Enrollment is available year-round. Once enrolled, students receive:

A personalized learning plan based on an evaluation of college-level math, elementary algebra, reading comprehension, sentence structure, and writing skills

The program operates without a fixed schedule. Upon enrollment, students have 12 months of access to the Adult Learning Lab and may attend as often as needed. The lab is open mornings, afternoons, and evenings to accommodate diverse schedules.

English Language Learning (ELL)
Aims offers English Language Learning (ELL) classes at five proficiency levels, serving both beginners and advanced English learners. Classes are available in the mornings and evenings, providing flexible options to fit your schedule.
All students begin with an on-campus placement exam to determine the most appropriate class level.

General Education Diploma (GED) Preparation
Interested in earning your GED but faced challenges due to scheduling conflicts? Our program is designed to support you with flexible, personalized learning plans and effective instructional and personal guidance to help you succeed.
What is a GED?
The General Education Development (GED) test provides a pathway to career and educational advancement for individuals who did not complete high school. The GED is a high school equivalency assessment that evaluates knowledge in four subject areas: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.
Aims Community College offers comprehensive support to help students prepare for and succeed on the GED. Services include:
