The Admissions Department, part of the Student Affairs Division, oversees strategic recruitment and enrollment management for Aims Community College. This includes the Campus Experience, College For Kids, Recruitment and Admissions, and the Student Station teams. Together, they support students through recruitment, onboarding, and front-line services at the Welcome Center.
A completed application for admission is required for all new students and for returning students who have been absent for one year (three semesters). This applies even for visiting or personal-interest students. There is no admission fee, and Aims operates under open admission standards (per Colorado Commission on Higher Education’s policy 23-72-121.5).
Admission to the college does not guarantee entry into selective programs, which may require additional applications or steps (e.g., health care fields, aviation, police academy). Other departments, like welding and automotive, may maintain waitlists. For up-to-date program details, visit the department’s web page.
The college reserves the right to deny admission or re-enrollment if it determines that an applicant cannot benefit from its programs or if a mental or physical disability presents impractical or dangerous conditions.
While Aims does not require immunizations for measles or other diseases prior to admission, students are strongly encouraged to consult their healthcare providers about potential health risks.
Aims Community College is an equal opportunity institution and prohibits discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability. The college is committed to providing an environment free from harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
