MOT 1061 - Intermediate Coding

Employs techniques to analyze information from medical records and code it for insurance purposes. Level I & II and ICD (international classification of disease) coding will be utilized to create medical necessity for services.  Course is not repeatable for credit.

Prerequisite(s): MOT 1040 with a grade of “C” or better, may be taken concurrently.
