Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (A.A.S. Degree - Two Years)
Potential Opportunities:
This program is designed for individuals seeking advanced medical training to pursue careers as medics within fire departments, ambulance services, or as flight medics. Students must first complete the EMT course and are strongly encouraged to have a minimum of one year of experience working as an EMT in a field or clinical setting prior to applying to the Paramedic program.

Emergency Medical Services (A.A.S. Degree - Two Years)
Potential Opportunities:
This degree prepares students for career advancement in emergency medicine, qualifying them for roles in clinical or patient-transport agencies. It also provides a strong foundation for students planning to pursue paramedic-level training.

Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
Potential Opportunities:
The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certificate focuses on providing basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. AEMT certification is an intermediate level between EMT and Paramedic, with training in limited advanced procedures.

Emergency Medical Responder
Potential Opportunities:
The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certificate is an entry-level program designed to train students to:

Provide immediate care to ill or injured persons

Understand when and how to activate the EMS system

Assist EMS providers on scene
This certificate provides a valuable foundation for positions such as lifeguards, fire service, sports medicine, ski patrol, and medical facilities, and serves as a preparatory course before taking the EMT course.
Emergency Medical Technician

This entry-level program prepares students for a career in emergency medicine, with training applicable to both clinical and field settings. Successful completion enables students to sit for the National Registry practical and written exams.

Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic

Application: A separate paramedic application is required, which can be obtained from an EMS advisor.

Degree Pathway: Students may take an additional 15 general education credits to earn an A.A.S. degree in Paramedicine (See the A.A.S. Paramedic information).
Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic Preparation
Potential Opportunities:
This certificate is designed to prepare students for entry into the Paramedic Certificate program by building the necessary knowledge and skills.
