Program Description

The A.A.S. degree in Engineering Technology: Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Option combines CAD and other engineering courses with general education requirements. Students may choose to complete one or more certificates or pursue the full A.A.S. degree.

Potential Opportunities

This program prepares students for technical careers in computer-aided drafting. Graduates may qualify for entry-level roles such as drafting/design technician, CAD technician, or para-engineering positions. Students gain technical expertise, applied math and physics knowledge, and problem-solving skills using industry-standard technology. The program also offers pathways for transfer to select university programs.

Program Requirements

Some Engineering Technology (CAD) courses and electives require prerequisites prior to enrollment. Refer to individual course descriptions for specific requirements.

Essential Skills
