Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Accounting Program, students will be able to:

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports using a variety of accounting documents and sources.
  • Analyze fundamental accounting concepts and understand how financial statements interrelate.
  • Utilize appropriate software and technology to produce professional business documents.
  • Research and analyze accounting concepts and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of current regulations.
  • Apply critical thinking to accounting scenarios and present relevant solutions.
  • Demonstrate professional skills including teamwork, communication, timeliness, and job readiness.
  • Make ethical and well-informed business recommendations grounded in accounting principles.
  • Identify motivational strategies to support effective team and workplace dynamics.
  • Communicate effectively using various electronic platforms, including email.
