Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate working knowledge of file management and directory structures
- Understand foundational network concepts and physical network topology
- Apply industry-standard development, office, and monitoring/management software
- Understand and use databases effectively
- Understand the structure and function of the web and web-based applications
- Demonstrate proficiency in one or more operating systems
- Read, interpret, and apply technical documentation
- Create clear and accurate documentation, instructions, or reports
- Apply logic and programming concepts across a variety of modern platforms
- Debug scripts or programs using problem-solving techniques
- Make appropriate CIS recommendations based on real-world scenarios
- Collaborate with team members to create CIS-related products

Note: Computer courses often require significant lab time in addition to scheduled class hours.
