General Education Prerequisites

BIO 2101 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I with Lab: GT-SC1 Credits: 4 - Coursework must have been completed within the past seven years.
BIO 2102 - Human Anatomy and Physiology II with Lab: GT-SC1 Credits: 4 - Coursework must have been completed within the past seven years.
BIO 2104 - Microbiology with Lab: GT-SC1 Credits: 4 - Coursework must have been completed within the past seven years.
ENG 1021 - English Composition I: GT-CO1 Credits: 3
HWE 1050 - Human Nutrition Credits: 3 - Coursework must have been completed within the past seven years.
MAT 1260 - Introduction to Statistics: GT-MA1 Credits: 3
PSY 2440 - Human Growth and Development: GT-SS3 Credits: 3

Total General Education Prerequisite Credits: 24

LPN Prerequisites

NUR 1075 - Special Topics Credits: 0 to 12 - Must be taken for two credits.
NUR 1089 - Transition from LPN to ADN Credits: 3 to 4 - Must be taken for four credits.
Upon successful completion of NUR 1089, students may be awarded 21 credits for prior LPN coursework.

Total LPN Prerequisite Credits: 27

Admission Requirement:

A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 is required for all listed prerequisite courses, including LPN coursework, for admission to the program.

Semester 1 (Fall)

NUR 2006 - Advanced Concepts of Medical-Surgical Nursing I Credits: 6.5 to 8 - Must be taken for 6.5 credits.
NUR 2011 - Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Credits: 4
NUR 2012 - Pharmacology II Credits: 2

Semester 2 (Spring)

NUR 2016 - Advanced Concepts of Medical-Surgical Nursing II Credits: 5 to 6 - Must be taken for five credits.
NUR 2030 - Transition to Professional Nursing Practice Credits: 4 to 5 - Must be taken for four credits.
Elective Requirement - 3 Credits:
This elective may be completed either prior to the first semester or during the LPN to RN Transition Program. It must be selected from the Guaranteed Transfer (GT) courses in the GT-AH (Arts and Humanities) or GT-SS (Social and Behavioral Sciences) categories.

Progression and Graduation Requirement:
Students must earn a grade of “C” or higher in all Nursing (NUR) courses to progress in the program or be eligible for graduation.
