Note: Admission to this program is selective. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 is required in all LPN prerequisite coursework, including prior LPN courses, for admission to the program. The diploma and transcript will indicate the credential: Associate of Applied Science, LPN to RN. Note: Students must earn a grade of C or higher in all Nursing (NUR) courses to progress in the program and to be eligible for graduation.

Coursework must be completed within the past seven years.
BIO 2102 Human Anatomy and Physiology II with Lab: GT-SC1 Credits: 4
Coursework must be completed within the past seven years.
BIO 2104 Microbiology with Lab: GT-SC1 Credits: 4
Coursework must be completed within the past seven years.
ENG 1021 English Composition I: GT-CO1 Credits: 3
HWE 1050 Human Nutrition Credits: 3
Coursework must be completed within the past seven years.
MAT 1260 Introduction to Statistics: GT-MA1 Credits: 3

LPN Prerequisites

NUR 1075 - Special Topics Credits: 0-12 (must be taken for 2 credits)
NUR 1089 - Transition from LPN to ADN Credits: 3-4 (must be taken for 4 credits)
Upon successful completion of NUR 1089, students may receive 21 credits for prior LPN coursework.

Semester 1 (Fall)

NUR 2006 Advanced Concepts of Medical-Surgical Nursing I Credits: 6.5-8 (must be taken for 6.5 credits)
NUR 2011 Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Credits: 4

Semester 2 (Spring)

NUR 2016 Advanced Concepts of Medical-Surgical Nursing II Credits: 5-6 (must be taken for 5 credits)

Elective Requirement (3 credits)
This requirement may be completed prior to the first semester or during the LPN to RN Transition Program. The course must be selected from Guaranteed Transfer (GT) courses in the GT-AH (Arts and Humanities) or GT-SS (Social and Behavioral Sciences) categories.
