SCI 155 - Integrated Sciences I [SC1]

(A.A. Degree only) Examines the nature of energy and matter, their interactions and changes, and the application of fundamental concepts to the study of our natural world. These concepts will be explored in hands-on laboratory experiments. This course integrates the fundamental concepts and ideas about the nature of physics and chemistry with the natural world. Integrated Science is a course that helps the student develop an appreciation of the beauty of science and how physics and chemistry play an important role in their everyday lives, from driving a car, reading their energy bill to cooking. Students will expand their scientific knowledge and skills through the laboratory experience, doing scientific experiments and investigations. This course is a state guaranteed transfer course GT-SCI1. Must have both SCI 155 and SCI 156 for graduation. Prerequisites: MAT 099 or higher (except MAT 107, 108, 112, 175). Four credits.
