Covers the rationale for, method of implementing and key characteristics
of TQM. Topics include developing a vision of a quality culture, strategic
planning for implementation, customer focus, supplier relationships,
benchmarking, continuous improvement, employee empowerment,
and teamwork. Through case studies students learn to apply TQM in
manufacturing and service environments. Three credits.
