HIT 150 - Healthcare Delivery Systems

Credits: 3
This course provides an overview of the health care delivery system at the national, state and local level including the organizations that provide health care, applicable regulations and standards, reimbursement methods used professionals that provide the services, as well as resources. Current trends in health care delivery are presented including health facilities, medical staff organization and functions, the changing roles of health care professionals, and patterns of financing health care. Prerequisite(s): None. Three credits.
