This degree program is designed to prepare students for entry level occupations in the wildland side of the Fire Service. Job opportunities include fire departments, State, and U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management.
Some of the classes included in this degree are Introduction to wildland fire behavior, Wildfire chain saws, basic air operations, and internships. Many of the FSW classes will be offered in conjunction with the Colorado Wildland Fire and Incident Management Academy offered January of each year.
